Los Angeles Film Festival kicked off last Thursday with a gala screening of The Devil Wears Prada. Nothing says independent quite like that. Anyway, after studying the catalog, the true indies screening in and out of the documentary competition look pretty good. I’ll report back with my findings as the week progresses.
